It seems like just yesterday I was plotting to start a pregnancy diary in advance of announcing to the world that I was pregnant.
And it seems like just yesterday that I was writhing in pain from contractions even as I enjoyed watching Carmen Rasmussen getting the boot on “American Idol.” I also contracted through an episode of “Angel,” come to think of it.
And it seems like only yesterday that I was cradling a tiny newborn in my arms, wondering what the heck I was going to do now.
And it seems like only yesterday I was writhing in post-delivery pain swearing I’d never have another child because it was NOT WORTH IT (I had a LOT of pain after my delivery due to 12 hours of hard labor, 3 hours of fruitless pushing, followed by a c-section).
It seems like only yesterday she was learning to crawl, walk, run, jump, skip. It seems like only yesterday I was registering her for kindergarten, and now she’s registered for first grade.

Six. I can’t believe she’s six.
Such a precious girl. Love CG so much! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
what a sweet tribute, it made me cry! she’s a beauty, Jaynee!
Six – Wow.
I remember the day she was born and the weeks and months leading up to her birth. I can’t believe that was 6 years ago. When you were here, working alongside of me.
Where did the time go?
Happy Birthday to our lovely CG. I remember that day, too – how excited I was to get the phone call while I was at work that Baby CG was on the way.
Be sure to give her hugs and kisses from the Speaks’ branch of the family.
I seem to remember a quick trip from California for me to see the new arrival. Tired, worn out, but happy just to hold her.
Happy Birthday, CG!
Happy birthday, CootieGirl!
