The other night at music practice I saw that Lucas had left his fish behind. It’s a cute Betta that is reminiscent of the fishes we used to have. Lucas claims he has never cleaned the bowl, never done ANYTHING but feed the fish once or twice a day as long as he’s had him. The bowl is surprisingly clean and very nice (it’s a decorative bowl rather than a typical fishbowl.
Lucas is coming back this weekend to move his stuff, and I wonder if he’s taking the fish with him or not. I mentioned to our music leader that I’d love to have the fish IF the fish stayed in it’s current habitat. So I’m hoping that info gets back to Lucas so I can inherit the beautiful fish and his bowl. I loved having a fish in NJ and was all afire to get a large fish tank when we moved down here. In the end I’m glad I didn’t get one – there are a lot of THINGS that go with large fish tanks besides the tank and the water (such as lights, Fish Feeders, filters – just to name a few). It’s a very expensive hobby.
You all know my mantra by now…”When CootieGirl gets out of fulltime daycare…”
But Lucas’s Beta fish? I’d be all over that cutie.
Betta are the best! We’ve had Glub-glub since June! But we do clean the bowl every 3 weeks or so.
