Wii Out For Delivery!

My Wii is officially on the truck and out for delivery today! Sadly, unless he comes after 5 p.m., I don’t think I’ll actually be GETTING my Wii today. The seller sent it via FedEx Ground, and put “signature required” – but since it’s being shipped to my house, well, that causes a slight problem. And while I’m tempted to go home for lunch on the off-chance it gets delivered between 1:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m., the sane part of me thinks I should just be patient and hope that I’ll be able to just sign whatever they leave behind so that they can deliver it tomorrow. We’ll see.

I’m still on the hunt for a Wii Fit. I refuse to pay $130 for it (which is the price I’ve found online). I did find one online store selling it for $90, but it had a 3 week backorder and I don’t want to order it only to be told in 3 weeks that it was going to be ANOTHER 3 weeks before I receive it. I’ve called a couple stores in the local area to see if they have any on the shelves, with no luck. I’ve been told that Best Buy stocks it’s shelves on Sunday mornings and that if I get there before the “post-church” crowd I should be able to get one with relative ease. Unfortunately, I’m on the schedule for the band this weekend, so I’ll pretty much be at church from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. – there’s no way I’ll be the post-church crowd.

Update at 3:30 p.m.: Well, I got an email from FedEx that delivery was attempted around 3 p.m. I’m HOPING when I get home that there is a form from FedEx saying “Sign here and we’ll deliver” much like UPS has. In the meantime, I’ve emailed the seller to see if he’d be willing to call FedEx to arrange for the “signature required” request to be removed. I hope he is amenable to that.

You might be in luck, ‘cuase I believe that FedEx has to deliver all of its Business packages before it starts its residential…. so 5PM doesn’t seem to be that far off the mark.

And I purchased something that was delivered FedEx “signature required” and it was on the porch when I got home in the evening. Obviously without signature.

Beth – Kmart in our area had them for that price as well, but QUICKLY sold out. It’s amazing how much in demand the Wii Fit is – just crazy.
