At approximately 3:30 p.m. this afternoon, the wild goose chase began. Mr. BIL got it into his head that we were missing the one of the seven signatures we needed from a client. I told him I didn’t have it, and he didn’t believe me. So while he stood there I had to go through my entire desk and show him I didn’t have it. Then he had me run down to the associate’s office to check there. She didn’t have it. Then we had to go through his entire office and he didn’t have it. Now, at approximately 3:35 p.m. I had called the paralegal that helped with this client and asked her about it. She and I agreed that we hadn’t EVER gotten that particular signature, and that it was the last one we were waiting on when we began receiving back the signature pages two months ago. I told this to Mr. BIL, saying that I agreed with the paralegal.
But no, he wanted to keep on looking. So look we did. And after going through EVERY SINGLE SHEET OF PAPER IN HIS OFFICE, he said, “You know what? I don’t think we ever got that signature page.”
GGGGGGGAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
