Well, as you might have guessed, we didn’t win the MegaMillions jackpot. Oh well – it was fun playing along though, right? RIGHT?
This week is going to be a good one. Tomorrow I only work half a day and then I’m heading south to Atlanta. A former co-worker of mine lives there, and she and I got tickets to see Snow Patrol in concert. For those who don’t know, Snow Patrol is one of my favorite bands, and they rarely come to America (they are from Ireland), so I’m taking the opportunity while I can to see them perform live!
I’m taking off all of Tuesday from work so my friend Jen and I can sleep in the following morning, have a leisurely late breakfast, and then I’ll head for home. The rest of the week should be quiet, including Friday, which I have as a holiday from work for Good Friday.
That’s literally the ONLY thing we have going this week, which is awesome. The kids are on spring break, so no battles over homework all week. We got Cootieboy a skateboard for Christmas and finally took him out today to try it out. He was very nervous and after the first couple minutes I was afraid he’d quit (he’s the type that if he doesn’t succeed immediately, he quits). But he hung in there, and sure enough, after about 10-15 minutes he was doing a pretty good job of it! So we’ll probably spend our evenings (other than tomorrow) heading down to the neighborhood pool parking lot so he can continue to practice. His goal is to be good enough to go to the skateboard park here in town. I told him he’d need at least 2-3 weeks of solid practice before he’d be ready for that.
No other news to report. Hope all is well with you as we head into April (can you believe it?). I’ll be sure to report on the concert once I’m back in town.
