I own a business. I finally figured out the One-Stop Shop website for the SC Secretary of State that allows you to fill out ALL your paperwork to start a business and submit it all online. Ten minutes later and voila – I’m now officially in business as a Sole Proprietorship business. I’ll get all my documentation in the mail in a few days and the beauty of having a Sole Proprietorship biz is that I can submit all my tax stuff with my personal tax return instead of filling out lots of forms specific to corporations and such.
