Weird Day

Olly:
How ya feelin’
It’s intriguin’
Whatcha knowin’
How’s it goin’?

Sifl: (I’m fiiiine…)

Olly:
You’re freaky freaky
You’re so crazy
I don’t care if
You’re all lazy

Sifl: (lost mind…)

Olly:
Brainy brainy
Dreamin’ blue skies
Zany zany
You’ve got weird eyes

Sifl: (no rhymes…. takes time…)

Both:
Time and time and time again
To eat a meal and meet a friend
And Santa Claus, he’s not pretend
Jukey-box a hooka
with an out-a-sight disco,
Disco! Disco! Disco!
I’m starin’ out the window!

Everybody has a weird day
Deal with stress in your own weird day
Everybody has a weird day
Deal with stress in your own weird day

Time and time and time again….
Time and time and time again…

Thus sayeth the wise sages Sifl and Olly.

Today has been a WEIRD DAY. Mr. BIL was out at a hearing for most of it, but since he hadn’t edited any of the documents from last night, I was left with virtually NOTHING to do. A few piddling things. A client’s daughter did a pop-in visit, so that broke the monotony. Went to lunch and came back to find Mr. BIL still hadn’t returned from the hearing. Finally, he rolls in around 3:00 p.m. and I give him the message about the pop-in visit. We spent a quick 30 minutes creating estate planning documents and then headed over to the hospital where his client could sign her docs before open heart surgery tomorrow morning. Spent about an hour between going to the hospital, meeting with the client and coming back.

Came back here to find my new boss gone for the day. Other people leaving for the day. And now I sit here, at 4:45 p.m., wondering where my day went. I have nothing to show for it except for ONE track change request by the new boss.

The bonus (or curse, depending on how you look at it): Mr. BIL is basically out of the office tomorrow after 11 a.m.
