We Had Very Wet Snow

It started snowing last night as I was leaving music practice. It was a wet snow though. In the end, despite the grass being completely white this morning, the roads were merely wet. So off to work and daycare we all went.

The kids were very sad that it wasn’t a stay-home day with the snow. CootieGirl came running into our room to tell us it’s SNOWING! But I was quick to inform her that since we could see the roads it meant she was still going to school. Daycare was EMPTY when we got there because Fort Mill Schools had a pointless 2-hr delay. But I’m sure it’s up to full capacity now that schools are open.

One of the attorneys in my office claims she thinks the office will close early today since it is supposed to get COLDER throughout the day and thus create black ice on the roads. I tend to doubt that, but I appreciated her earnestness.

I have to admit – I really did hope that I’d wake up to find 3-4 inches of snow on the ground. I never thought I’d miss having a decent snowstorm, but I kinda do. Especially now that the kids are older and can enjoy it much more than they did in NJ.
