We Don’t Sell Crazy Here

So yesterday we discovered a store called “Garden Ridge” which is like the Home Depot of home goods. I’m so not kidding – the store was HUGE. We ended up buying a rug for our living room. The great thing about the rug: it was $80. Sure, if it were in a high traffic room it would fall apart in months, but this will be in the hardly-used living room, so it should last a while. And the bonus is that if the pets and kids DO do anything to it – I don’t care! The rug was only $80!! Here’s the pic of it in the room:

What’s funny is that last night I went BACK to Garden Ridge to pick up a couple more things, and saw a rolled up rug for the dining room that I thought would be a nice compliment to the living room rug – similar colors, different pattern. I also bought a large fake ficus for the living room and a couple other small things. Upon arriving home I took one look at the living room rug and realized the one I had just brought home was the exact same rug. As Denis said, “Well, at least you know you really like that rug!”

So I kept it wrapped in the plastic and will take it back this morning and try to exhange it for a different rug.
