Waiting For Cheap Flights

Denis and I are going on vacation in mid-May for a week. Another no-children trip, but this one involving only a pool, a margarita and a mild sunburn. I’ve told Denis that at least 70% of this trip will be spent doing NOTHING. He can go off and do whatever he likes, but only 30% of *my* vacation will be spent sight-seeing, visiting friends or driving in a car to some far-off destination.

In a desire to keep the trip as cheap as possible, I keep watching the airfares to and from Newark, waiting for that magical $83 Continental airfare to pop up. It was around back in the fall, but you can’t book plane trips that far in advance. So I everyday I go to Orbitz…waiting…waiting. Today it dropped from $183 to $163, and Orbitz had it for $158. So it’s dropping. Denis and I have two vouchers for a $36 discount on two Continental tickets, so once I see it drop to $83 each I’ll scoop them up and apply the $36 vouchers and voila – THAT is some cheap roundtrip airfare, my friends.
