Today is the last full day at the beach. Truthfully, it hasn’t been much of a vacation. I’ve been working on transcription most of the time. I’m sick to death of these hard kitchen table chairs and can’t wait to get back to the softness of our office chair.
I brought nine sermons with me to the beach. 4 1/2 of them had been outsourced out to other people for typing, to save me some work. It’s a good thing, too. Because I’m now a day late on the deadline and still have three sermons to go (I’m halfway done with one of those, though). Fortunately, the guy has been really understanding about the delay.
Denis has been sick almost the whole time. He came down with a fever on Wednesday and has basically been in bed 90% of the time.
The kids are having fun. We’ve gone to the beach twice to play in the (cold) water and they love it. We’re going to go again one last time today. And they went in the pool one day (it, too, is cold).
I look forward to June. Actually, I’m looking forward to next Monday – Friday. I don’t have plans to do any computer work during that time, and will spend my time just RELAXING – taking the kids to the pool, watching TV, maybe taking the kids to see a movie.
We leave tomorrow morning for home. The drive here on Tuesday night was quiet – the kids never asked for a movie, and were asleep for most of the time. However, tomorrow they’ll be wide awake, so I predict a much more chaotic drive home.
