Well, Denis and I were up most of the night with CootieGirl. She got sick at 1 a.m., 2:15 a.m., 4:05 a.m. and sometime near 6 a.m., I believe. The only real substance was the 10:30 p.m. and 1 a.m. instances. Everything after that was just dry heaves and a bit of fluid. She stayed in the bed with us since she was so miserable and so that we could keep an eye on her and help her when she started to heave.
She’s been listless all morning, and about 30 minutes ago her fever got up over 101 degrees. She asked if she could take a nap and I put her in her bed. After a few minutes alone she started screaming, so I went back in and decided to give her some medicine. She got about half of it down and threw up the juice she had been drinking and the medicine. Thick Syrupy Medicine + High Fever = CootieGirl :puke:. It happens every single time unless we give her the infant version instead of the children’s version.
We popped her into the bath to cool her down and rinse out her hair (gross). She’s now downstairs on the sofa watching “Lilo & Stitch” and eating some toast with her dad.
We all skipped church this morning and it’s a good thing too since she would have been doing this in her Sunday School class.
Poor CootieGirl!
Glad to hear she was, at least, able to keep some toast down.
I’m sure Lilo & Stitch made her feel better. It’s only, like… one of the best movies ever!
