I’m happy to report that the vet’s office just called and said that the tests came back NEGATIVE for cancer on the cyst that they removed. So Cooper has been given a clean bill of health!
YAY!
The cone collar that Denis bought is great – Cooper’s incision is nice and clean now, although the dog HATES that collar and spent a good 45 minutes in the middle of the night begging me to scratch the incision because he couldn’t get to it himself (he literally woke me up and moved his head under my hand to show me the spot he wanted scratched – no lie).
Poor Coops. I wonder if there’s an antiseptic cream with numbing stuff in it that you could put on the incision to reduce the itching?
I’ve forked out enough money on that dog this week. He can live with the itch.
So, tell Coops it’s not a collar, it’s a party hat…
