No Eating Out or Ordering In commitment ends on Monday.
No Chocolate commitment is going well – I have 17 days left.
No Eating After 9:30 p.m. – I’m on Day Three. On Day One I had a piece of coffee cake at 9:15 p.m. Went to bed at 10:30 p.m. just to avoid temptation. On Day Two (yesterday), I finished band practice at 9:15 p.m. and was in my car at 9:25 p.m. At 9:29 p.m. I finished the small snack I had stashed in my car from my office vending machine in case I didn’t have time for dinner after work (turns out, I had Denis make me a hot dog to take with me to band practice because I stayed late talking to Mr. BIL last night – if I hadn’t had him do that, the snack at 9:25 p.m. would have been dinner AND dessert).
Tonight I am making a pumpkin cake for our next LifeGroup session, which is Sunday. My mission is to have it in the oven baking before 9:30 p.m. so I can lick the spatula completely guilt-free. 😉
As for weight loss, this morning my scale flipped between 4 pounds and 3.5 pounds gone. Hopefully by tomorrow that last few ounces will be gone so I can say that I’ve lost four pounds since December 11 just by making these small little 30-day commitments. That’s a pound a week. Not bad for someone who isn’t necessarily dieting!
