So last week I ordered some items from Amazon, hoping they’d arrive at my house before Thanksgiving. A box was delivered on Wednesday – but it didn’t contain anything I ordered. In fact, it contained another woman’s order. A woman in Michigan. Not even MY STATE.
And in going to the Amazon website to do the return I found that their returns area is not equipped to handle orders that were sent to the wrong house. So I had to put in that the items were a gift return and plug in the woman’s order number.
And in the meantime Amazon swears that my items were delivered – even though they weren’t in that box last week.
I’ve been using Amazon for YEARS now and this is the first time I’ve had a real problem with them. It doesn’t bode well that the gift-buying season hasn’t really even gotten into full swing and they are already making huge mistakes.
To them your items were delivered, probably to the woman in Michigan.
That just sucks ass. I just made a huge purchase from them this morning, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
I just received two deliveries last week…both complete, accurate and on time! Like you, I’ve never had a miss with them in the past. Sounds like a one-time mistake…all companies make them. If it happens again, I’d be more suspect.
That’s weird ’cause, like you, I’ve never had problems with Amazon. Recently, though, I’ve had problems with 2 other online orders through a company that was usually reliable. And when mix-ups happen you realize just how hard it is to actually talk to a human being who can reason instead of a computerized phone menu that traps you in an endless loop of useless options.
