Unexpected Surprise

Well I had a happy surprise as I was about to leave the office today – I was told my official bonus amount and also that I got a raise. I’m thrilled with the amount I got for the raise – it’s much higher than I figured it would be considering I’ve only been there for seven months. Mr. Russell said that El Presidente himself asked that I be given that amount. So when I get back to the office on Wednesday I’ll pop over to his office and thank him personally. That raise is effective April 1, and comes just in time. The bonus arrives in my bank account on March 15 and can’t come a moment too soon – we have a lot of bills to pay and it’ll be nice to have a bonus AND my pay come in on the same day.
