Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

Well, the kids are no longer :puke:. Denis said they were vomit free all day (except for CootieBoy’s milk episode from this morning). However, they both still have horrible diarrhea. Denis is officially sick – he had a 101.7 fever earlier in the evening and is passed out down in our bed. I may sleep in the other room so I don’t get his cooties.

Tonight a notary stopped by the house to have us sign all the paperwork for the loan on the land. We’re all done and are just waiting. The money should arrive in our account in the next 5 days and then we’ll be ready to close on the land. The good thing about going to SC at the end of the month is that we may actually OWN the land by the time we get down there! How cool will it be to walk across the lot and know that it’s OURS OURS OURS.

Denis and I were concerned again about our budget today, but the Lord provides – with the new deductions I’m taking from my paycheck (I changed my healthcare coverage and now my Dependent Spending account is being spread out over 12 months instead of 6) I’m now bringing home an extra $250 per month in pay. Such an amazing answer to prayer!

Since we’re not going to SC this weekend it means that I’ll be able to pick up that new dresser this weekend. This means that our bedroom can become a bit less cluttered since we’ll make the move to have the diapers get changed in the kids’ room from now on as well.

And that’s it from the House of the Stomach Flu.
