I have two more paintings up at my Etsy shop – a butterfly and one called “Baby Gear” which is a painting of a baby bottle and rattle together. I’m not TOTALLY pleased with that one, but put it up anyway. Tonight I’ll be continuing work on a football painting. Last night all I got done on that one was putting the dark green background on the canvas board. While I was doing that, Denis talked me into painting the football field yard lines, which I’ll do tonight. Then tomorrow I’ll put the football on it. The other one I hope to start tonight is a teddy bear painting – it’ll be my most complex one yet, so I’m nervous about getting it right. I still have the pacifier painting sitting on the dining room table. I painted it with new colors but I still don’t like it. But I don’t have the heart to throw it out. *lol* Maybe I’ll tell Denis to throw it out today while he’s home so that I just won’t see it anymore.
I’m continuing to enjoy my new hobby, and during the week I’ve been looking at tons of other artists on Etsy that are totally inspirational in their skill. It’s one thing to do an abstract, but to do an abstract that really evokes a response is difficult. I’ve only rarely come across an abstract artist that can do that for me. If I had endless income I’d go buying-crazy on Etsy. Especially for the jewelry – there are some amazing artisans over there.
I’m considering trying to sell my jewerly at Etsy, but there are folks who make way better stuff than I do.
