TV: What An Awesome Night

I got home late last night, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying all the great shows on last night.

Survivor – I was cheering at the end. I have always like Amanda, and even though she has completely coasted in this game, last night was a move that quite possibly won the game for her. She played it brilliantly – little girl lost who was resigned to going home. Then WHAMMO! The only mistake they made was voting out Alexis (who obviously would have either been booted by medical or failed at every physical challenge coming up) instead of Natalie who is a straight up bitca and much stronger competition going forward.

The Office – So quotable. So awesome. This show has been AWESOME since the return from the strike, and “Did I Stutter” was up there as one of the best of the season. And how shocking that Darryl was part of that notorious gang known as the Newsies. *lol* Was he there the same time as Christian Bale? Too great.

30 Rock – it was a weird episode, but a good one nonetheless. Specifically, I loved everything with Liz Lemon and Floyd. Just fantastic. Tina Fey and Jason Sedekis have great comedic chemistry. My favorite quote of the show: “This smells like hill people milk!”

Lost – I’m not much of a Jack fan but this was a decent episode. At first I couldn’t place where in the post-Island timeline this was occuring, but now it’s obvious that it’s just before his drinking/drug problem and before he meets Kate at the airport and says, “We have to go back!” Poor sad Hurley. As for the island stuff, the only part I liked was Jin figuring out the redhead’s knowledge of Korean and approaching her to tell her to take Sun no matter what. Despite my lackluster comments here, I did actually like the episode.

Good stuff.

I enjoyed the reaction of the jury when Amanda pulled out the idol. I agree that it was a major mistake to vote out Alexis.

I missed the first 6 minutes of “The Office” (b/c H needed to watch something else), and I was scrambling to find a re-cap this morning. Turns out I missed four great scenes in those first 6 minutes!! A GREAT episode.
