I didn’t think it was possible. I had high hopes for American Idol’s Top 12 (well, not Lindsey Cardinale and Anthony Federov – they’re awful. And so is Constance Pheaux-Rocker). Right out of the gate the songs were so incredibly boring that I feared this would go from being the BEST Top 12 ever to the Worst. I mean, even ANWAR sucked, and that’s hard for him to do. He should have never sung a song that Tamyra Gray perfected during her season.
Fortunately, Nadia Turner did a decent job when she came out (although I don’t like that song). And my main man Bo Bice. He was perfection! Absolute perfection. Except was that a branding of a spike on his chest? If so, me no likey. But everything else about him was a 10.
Then it was back to mundane boring performances. Lindsey Cardinale managed to take one of my favorite songs of all time (Knock on Wood) and ruin it. And Jessica didn’t do too well with “Shop Around” either.
Just a bad bad bad bad night of singing all the way around. Go Nadia and Bo! Keep it up and you will be the final two!
Oh, and when Constance Pheaus-Rocker started his horrible song? CootieBoy started screaming. So you know where the Cooties stand on him being in the Top 12.
Bo was awesome – I had a big grin during his entire peformance. Constance is such a poseur.
The rest? Boring and I agreed with Simon about everyone else’s hearing. Heh.
Well, I think last night was once of Constantine’s best performances. I still don’t think he holds a candle to Bo, but I still thought it was good. I loved Bo, and I thought Nadia was pretty good and for the first time I enjoyed Scott’s performance. The rest of the performers were mediocre at best.
I would agree with some of the comments except that I kind of like Constantine because he sounds like Bryan CootieBoy. Also, I think Anthony F. is awesome ~ love the guy. Even if he doesn’t win, he’ll go far, IMHO. And Bo was great, even if he is a rocker.
