** THIS HAS SPOILERS ABOUT LAST NIGHT’S SHOW**
I didn’t intend to watch the entire season of “The Bachelorette.” I remember posting after the first episode that I was probably done until she was down to the final four. But somewhere along the way I got hooked and became totally invested in DeAnna Pappas’ lovelife as it played out on TV every week. This has been one of the best seasons EVER of this show, and a lot of that is because of DeAnna. Sure, she has some weird mannerisms (kissing with her eyes open being the least of them), but she’s forthright and blunt and not there to waste her time.
Last week I just KNEW that she was gonna pick Jeremy in the end. So imagine my shock when she DIDN’T take him to the final two! I thought her date with him went well, despite his awkwardness during their dinner. But then she went on the date with Jason and WOW what a difference a day makes! Her date with him was AWESOME and made me wish *I* was off-roading with him for the afternoon. He was great and I like that he got to show his “outside the show” personality and also didn’t let her focus all her conversation on his son. I mean, yes, his son is important, but it’s not the Main Thing About Jason, you know what I mean? He’s a man with thoughts in his head that have nothing to do with his son. DeAnna’s date with Jesse was okay. I like Jesse, but I REALLY like Jason, so I can’t help but be surprised that she’s interested in him. He went from being just a pal to a romantic possibility seemingly overnight, which is kind of weird. I felt NO chemistry between them even up until he kissed her when he took her to his hometown.
At the rose ceremony, my heart fell when she picked Jesse first. I just KNEW that mean Jason was going home, which was devastating. So when she mentioned his name I 1) squealed like a little girl and 2) paused my Tivo and let out a huge “WOW!” at Jeremy’s stunned reaction.
Moving on to the “Men Tell All” special, just a few quick points:
1. Brian the Coach still looks hot.
2. Fred the Lawyer is still a cutie patootie.
3. I totally thought Chris Harrison was gay. He’s MARRIED?
4. Chris Harrison is now one of my fake boyfriend because of his jokes in the gag reel about Sean’s mullet (see clip here and fast forward to watch from 4:50 to 5:10 to see what I’m talking about).
GO JASON!
The dojo comment was awesome. I was glad to see Jeremy go, as I thought their “connection” was primarily based on shared grief-and that just isn’t sustainable. I actually thought Jesse and Deanna had a ton of chemistry…the best husbands are the ones with whom you can be all silly and weird.

Stacy – there is silly and weird, and there is not-quite-mature-enough. Jesse is definitely on that bubble.
I also thought that they only shared the grief-connection. I’ve thought the past two shows they haven’t had as much chemistry as she was trying to have with him and she kept talking about him being perfect too much. Seemed fishy to me. I am not at all good at reading people thought so I kind of surprised myself and thought i’m too invested in her story. But this is a GREAT season. I’m excited for next week. I have to be at a conference taking photos so I’m going to have to try and sneak up to my room to watch the show.
