In the world of TV:
Last night’s American Idol – rocked. Well, all except Jordin. Even Chris “JT” Richardson did a nice job. But those two are going home, hands down, or SHOULD go home, based on last night’s performances. But since the votes are being combined with last week’s, who knows about Jordin. She rocked it last week, whereas KiKi was horrible last week. So while Chris is definitely going, it’s a toss-up between Jordin and Kiki for the other spot.
The Amazing Race – SO SAD that the Cha Chas are not in the final three. Amazingly? I’m routing for Mirna and Schmirna. I was never a fan of the other two teams, and while I’m not a fan of Mirna and Schmirna, I think it would be awesome if the little person won over the other two teams. Even though the big one will claim it’s all thanks to herself.
How I Met Your Mother – I heart Barney. Even more I heart the thought of Bob Barker being Barney’s dad. Loved the Price Is Right tribute since I’m also a huge fan of the show.
In the world of Music:
Love that Amy Winehouse. Her song “Rehab” is one of the best songs I’ve heard in a long time – pure old soul music with better (read: modern) lyrics. Surprisingly, I also like the song “Smile” by her main in-the-press feud, Lily Allen, which is much more poppier than anything Winehouse has, but is still fun.
Other bands/musicians I’m fond of right now: The Gossip, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Mika.
Another songs I love right now: “Young Folks” by Peter Bjorn and John. That’s in heavy rotation on my MP3 player.
And so is Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass’ perfect theme to “Casino Royale”, which I DID download onto my MP3 player. Hee. And here’s the skit that forced me to download it.
Lily Allen is great – her song “Alfie” is on my MySpace page in honor of my brother! So funny!
That SNL skit is hilarious. I like the sundown motions the best.
Those are my favorite too! *lol* I emailed the link to an attorney here in my office and he said that was his “laugh out loud” moment as well. And the PURE JOY on Will Forte’s face is awesome.
It reminded me of that Stephen Colbert interpretive dance that I can’t find online anymore. That was fu-nee.
