Tired, Sweaty, Raining

I’m exhausted today. I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night. Admittedly, the main reason is because I was up watching the live feeds of “Big Brother 7: All Stars” and uploading more music to my MP3 player. But still… CootieBoy came into our bed around 6:30 a.m. and proceeded to put his feet in face and REFUSED to sleep in any other position. Then he refused to sleep at all. So I’ve basically been up since 6:30 a.m. My commute this morning was longer than usual for no apparent reason – I never saw an accident or cop, so I don’t know why I had an additional 4 miles of backup this morning on the way to work. Add in the fact that Mr. BIL had me running around all morning until he left at 1 p.m. for his afternoon meeting. Add in the fact that even after he left, while I was able to take lunch, I’ve been doing even more things in an effort to clean off my desk, including a lot of overdue filing (which caused me to break out in a sweat from running up and down the stacks putting everything back). And now it’s raining outside and it’s VERY dark and thundery. Which means my commute home tonight will NOT be a pleasant one.

And I still have an hour and a half left in my day! Can I crawl under my desk and take a nap?

When I was talking with Mr. BIL about today’s meeting he said, “Now, you know we have cameras in here that can tell when you are goofing off while all the partners are off-site?” I told him about how Mr. Russell used to call me at 4:57 p.m. each time he was out in the afternoon just to make sure I was still at my desk (usually I was NOT). So today when he left he said, “I’ll call you at 5:55 p.m. to see how your afternoon went.” I just laughed and said, “You had better not!” as he walked out the door.

You really watched those live feeds too long. CootieBoy came into our bed at 5 a.m. I tried to get him back to his bed but he cried like a mad man. So, back to bed he came. I wound up leaving the bed for the couch so we could all sleep — and we did. Good to see you fell asleep on the couch at 10 o’clock tonight. I’m going to bed soon. Hope you get plenty of rest tonight.
