What, time couldn’t drag like this during the Blogathon when I felt like I was running all over the place? It’s only 2 p.m.? Ugh. :thud:
Mr. Sutherland will be attending the PGA golf tournament most of the day tomorrow, and rumor has it that Mr. Russell and Mr. Professor will also be going one day this week with a client.
I emailed them both this morning to confirm my time off in early November when we go to NC/SC. We thought briefly about flying and rent a van because it was actually pretty cheap ($355 for three seats on a plane and CootieBoy in my lap, $250 for a week’s car rental) but opted to drive when we calculated that gas for the entire trip would be about $200 – $250. Sure, it’ll put hella miles on our van, but it’s a good van and should be able to make the trip with no problems.
So we’ll be driving to my parents for the first night, then my grandmother’s for the second, then reach the timeshare in far western NC on the third. Spend a week in NC/SC and then drive straight from the timeshare to my parents’ house. That’s a 9-hour drive but we may break it up by stopping in for lunch with my grandmother again. It’ll depend on her schedule, obviously. And yes, my 97-year-old grandmother has a schedule (I think she’s 97. Is she 98?). She’s a biddy (1. slang, chiefly derog. A woman, especially an old, doddery, fussy or cantankerous one.), but not a decrepit one. She’s always off gallivanting somewhere – in fact, I’m not even sure she’ll be in town when we do this trip in the first place.
Are you taking Cooper with you on your Trip?
Nope. Was hoping someone else who has a dog wouldn’t mind possibly adding one more to the household for a week….:angel:
Of course, barring that we’ll just get one of the church girls to housesit for the week and watch him.
Grandma is only 91. She’ll be 92 in November.
Really? Are you sure? I thought she was much older than that. Because isn’t granddad in his late 80s? I thought she was at least 6-7 years older than him. Which means if I’m wrong he might only be 83 or something?
Granddad is 86.
