Coming home and weighing myself, only to find that I gained FOUR POUNDS during our vacation. I don’t feel that I ate a lot, and figured that with all the walking we did (over 10,000 steps per day, for an average of 4.5 miles in 80+ degree temps) that it would offset all the bad things I did eat (ice cream being a big culprit since it was nice and cold).
Four pounds. That sucks. I’m back at square one to lose the 20 pounds by Labor Day. That’s awful. Just awful.
I’m so glad you guys had a good time, I can’t wait until number one grandson (also ONLY one to date!) is old enough to go to Disney.
Try not to be too discouraged about the four pounds. There is a good possibility that at least part of it is fluid retention from the heat.
Welcome home!
Four pounds is not awful Jane. It is a setback for sure, but by no means is it “awful.” You had a ball on vacation and I think 4lbs is a small sacrifice for having such a great time with your hubby, kiddies and extended family. Now you are back, you can re-concentrate on losing that pesky 4lbs. Don’t be too rough on yourself. Just remember the big ole’ 30lbs you shed before you went there!
