The Recommitment

Okay, so in addition to the stuff I bought at the store yesterday, I’ve made some new commitments about getting in shape:

1) No more lunch from the cafe downstairs at work. From now on the money stays in my wallet and I’ll eat the frozen entrees I bring from home. The most I’ll buy downstairs is a single roll for 50 cents to go with my frozen dinner. This will not only enable me to eat less but SPEND LESS – which is always good.

2) No more heavy desserts at home. No more brownies, cakes, etc. Except Pumpkin Pie, which I can’t NOT have while it’s T’giving season in November. From now on snacks will be pre-packaged in small portions. I’ll also be eating much more popcorn as a snack at home since it’s more filling for less calories.

3) Working out. I looked at the schedule and the water aerobics class I love so much is offered every Monday and Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. , every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 a.m. Beginning Wednesday I’ll be hitting ALL of those classes. I love water aerobics. I got a real workout on Saturday (my arms were KILLING ME when the hour was up). Before or after the water aerobics I’ll be participating in the 30-minute circuit training which is the Y’s version of “Curves”. So I’ll have 90 minutes of exercise, four days a week – a significant amount if you ask me.

You just won’t be starting the water aerobics today. *lol*

All I know is I’ll be on that eliptical machine tonight. I lost 1.5 pounds this past week. Goal: 9 more pounds before Mary’s wedding. Then another 9 before Jen’s wedding. Doable? We’ll see.

Does Pumpkin Crunch fall under the Pumpkin Pie Catagory? I just bought some stuff to make it… even though I wont be around this Wednesday, I was thinking about it for the following week.

I’m going to hold off on Pumpkin desserts until after our vacation (which is going to be trial enough as it is). Once we get to mid-November I’ll be ready for Pumpkin pie…
