Denis discovered this on Amazon today. He’s thinking it’ll be a fun joint gift for the kids.
It’s a video game that involves riding a bike as part of the game. What I like about the idea:
- come snow (ha!), rain, oppressive heat – if they wanna get active and I’m sick of them running laps around the house, I can set one of them on the bike and let him/her go.
- it’s a video game without having to buy some Playstation or Nintendo box, which I really don’t ever want to bring in the house.
- it involves learning! bright young minds learning!
What I don’t like about it:
- It’s a video game.
- Upon opening the gift there will be an immediate brawl over who gets to use it first.
It’s a conundrum as to which way to go. Do daily brawls over sharing get outweighed by exercise and knowledge?
That is so cool.
Do they make one for adults? 😀
Heh. I have to admit I looked at the weight requirement for this little gadget. 🙂
Set it out…
… 10 minutes each for 40 minutes a day. They can use it any way they want.
This way you limit their use and they can still color or do a puzzle or any of the other things that can get their creative minds moving. Not to mention they whole 10 min. rule will have to make them share. You already have the first come first served rule in effect.
I think you can get one and make it work.
🙂
