With Mr. Russell leaving tomorrow for a week’s vacation he is trying to get a lot done for meetings he has scheduled for next week. This, in turn, means I’ve been swamped with work. Add to that the fact that I have to cover breaks on the reception desk on Mondays and you are left with a very harried Jaynee today.
One project I didn’t mind working on this morning. It involved completely reformatting a 30 page document from scratch. It allowed me to use STYLES and AUTO FORMATTING and an AUTOMATED TABLE OF CONTENTS and all the things I haven’t done since I left The Old Company because the folks around here never do big documents like this (and even 30 pages is kinda small). However, I spent the bulk of my morning cleaning it up and it looks pretty decent and the styles work as they should: like a dream. I just hope no one goes in and messes it up when I’m not looking.
Besides that I have THREE presentations I’m working on, a specialized Sales Logix report Mr. Russell wants, and the new Prospect Sheets that we had a meeting about on Friday.
Ouch! No wonder I haven’t had time for breakfast or lunch today!
Update at 5:10 p.m.: Mare-Bear, you have my permission to tell RJL that I miss his overly-analytical need for documents to be streamlined and clean. I work for the new breed of VLR. Seriously.
I created a really clean looking simple document this morning that was easy to navigate, clearly presented and professional. Mr. Russell has turned it into a nightmare because he has no eye for document design.
