I’m still having a blast with my Survivor pool online. We merged this past week and my original tribe members are pretty much in control – out of 10 people left, seven are from my original tribe. That’s AWESOME. We totally kicked butt this season.
I also stand a reasonable chance of at least making it to the top five. I’ve had an alliance between two other people on the tribe, and get along well with a couple others. So I may get lucky – we’ll see.
I’ve never made it this far – or least, never made it to the top seven. I have normally been a very mild player – allowing someone else in my alliance to lead and dictate (two seasons I had the same alliance with the same person because we ended up in the same game – which was AWESOME). But this season I’m all alone because that person did NOT make it into my game. But I’ve been using my past experiences with him to determine MY moves in the game.
It also helped that Lance, the site admin, changed how immunity is won. Before it was strictly based on points earned each week, but now it could be anything – most number of PMs, earliest picks made, highest points average – you never know from week to week what will determine immunity. So my tribe has gotten VERY lucky and we’ve only had to vote out one person all season.
So I’m coasting for the next few weeks, although I know that the ones left from the other tribe are gunning after me (and have openly said as much). It sucks because it means I’ll have a LOT of prior votes against me if it comes down to a tie-breaker. But as I said, if I can hold on once it comes down to only my tribespeople left, I should be sitting pretty.
