Surrounded By Nice People

Today I am planning on sending off the NCAA pool money to the winner, my friend June in New Jersey. She’s a lifelong Kansas fan so I know she’s very excited that her school helped her win a few hundred bucks. She was kind enough to email me and tell me to take 10% off the top of her winnings and keep it for myself. I thought that was very nice of her, and I wrote her a note saying as much.

Denis won a couple hundred bucks in his NCAA pool as well, and kindly gave me half this morning. I’m practically ROLLING in dough today!

Don’t forget, 10% of those winnings should go to your church. What are the churches thoughts on gambling anyway?

Ace – you are absolutely correct. I recently received a check for my flexible spending account – as soon as it’s deposited I’ll be putting the ENTIRE THING towards a tithe (it’s a large check). At that point I’ll be 20% done with my annual tithing goal, which is right on track once that money goes to the church.

Well, I took 10% of my winnings and gave it to the woman running our pool (the vig) and took another 10% out for the church. That left 50% for you and 50% for me, so you are covered with my winnings.
