I didn’t win the keyboard last night. With six minutes left in the auction the price jumped from $107 to $265, and I presumed it would go up over $300, which was my absolute limit. So imagine my disappointment when I saw it went for $277 – I should have gone ahead with a $300 bid just in case the eventual winne only put in $290 or something like that. Oh well. There are other keyboards out there – I just need to be patient.
Practice was crazy last night. With all the bad lightning we’ve had in the past couple days, it turns out that Lucas’ house got hit with a bolt. He came home yesterday to find ALL of his smoke alarms going off (they are tied into the electrical system in his house), a few electronics not working (his wireless router was destroyed), as well as the soundboard we use for practice. The crazy thing was in one room an outlet faceplate had been blown off and was across the room. I told Lucas he’s lucky his house didn’t catch on fire since so many things went “poof” (I think he said 6 circuit breakers on his panel had tripped when the lightning hit).
So we modified our setup a bit and managed to get through the rehearsal. Should be a good set on Sunday.
On the way to practice I stopped by Chik-Fil-A for dinner, and ended up spilling the milkshake in my car. Not too much – but enough to make a mess. I cleaned it up as best I could (fortunately it didn’t get on the fabric at all – only the cup holder it was sitting in). I thought I got it all cleaned up, but this morning when I got in the car there was a slightly sour smell in there, as though I missed a spot. So I may see if I can clean out my car a bit this weekend and get rid of that smell.
In other news – the OTC version of Xenical, called Alli, is now officially on the market. If I worked from home I’d probably get it since I won’t have to worry about running to the bathroom every 10 minutes.
Bought some Alli today. I took my first pill tonight…I’m a little scared! But, there is a comprehensive diet plan, and I think if I follow it, I should have the “treatment effects”. I’ll let you know how it works!
“I should NOT have the “treatment effectsâ€.” Is what I meant to write!
