Still Motivated – That’s a Plus

In the past when I’ve tried to lose weight, after about 7-8 pounds I get really frustrated and start looking at the big picture. In the past I’ve eventually said, “Dang, I still have to lose XX number of pounds!” This depresses me to the point where I just say “Forget it!” and give up.

But something is different this time. This time, with each 1/2 pound I lose, I get motivated to lose another 1/2 pound. I’ve lost 15.5 pounds – I’m now over halfway to my first goal, which is awesome.

Yesterday I put on a pair of jeans that a few months ago were tight on me. They aren’t tight anymore! They were a perfect fit! Last week I wore a pair of pants to work that used to be tight and I actually had ROOM in them. It’s exciting to think how much more loose they’ll be when I lose the other 14.5 pounds that is part of my first weight loss goal.
