Something weird is going on. It’s been happening over the past couple of days and it’s driving me nuts.
First AllConsuming.net has it’s graphics go all wonky. I go in to look at the link properties and find that there are differences between the Amazon link and the AllConsuming link, making all of my book graphics disappear. Two days later they magically reappear.
Yesterday Yahoo.com disappears – I presume it’s a firewall issue but this morning Yahoo is back. However, when I try to click into http://www.yahoo.com it doesn’t take me to the main Yahoo page – it takes me to the Washington Post scoreboards page.
But that’s not all, folks. When I attempt to go to the NCAA.org website to look up basketball stats, I get sent to USA Today’s homepage.
What is going on with the Internet this week? It’s driving me nuts.
Update at 11:01 a.m.: Well, I just rebooted twice and the problem seems to be resolved. I may do a defrag and scandisk just to make sure my laptop isn’t being affected by those things.
Sounds like there is a caching issue on the company’s firewall, at least that is what caused similar events for us a while back. Rebooting the firewall cleared it.
