Last night’s show was fantastic. I stayed at work until just after 7 p.m. and sat in my seat around 7:35 p.m. At 7:35 p.m. the lights went down. I asked the lady sitting next to me what time the show was supposed to start, and she said 7:30 p.m. Yikes! I didn’t think it started until 8 p.m., so I’m lucky I got there when I did.
My seat was outstanding. Sixth row center, but on the end of the aisle. I had an empty seat next to me, so I wasn’t cramped in at all. I was so close to the stage I could hear the dancers breathing hard during the quieter musical numbers that still required strength lifts. The dancers were all fantastic to watch and they did most of the great routines from the season. The one routine they didn’t do was the Bollywood number that Joshua and Katee did. They DID do the group Bollywood dance, though, which was better than nothing I suppose.
Twitch, Will, Katee and Joshua were the obvious crowd favorites. Runners-up in that category were Gev, Mark and Courtney, as well as Kherrington. Whenever those dancers were introduced the arena would go ballistic with screams and applause.
I took a lot of pictures but just around intermission my camera started to die so I have a lot of the first half of the show and only a handful of the second part of the show. I would have loaded them up but I couldn’t get the camera software to recognize the camera when I plugged it in this morning. So I’ll have Denis rectify that and will add pictures to this post tonight.
The show ran about three hours long which made it well worth the price of my ticket, parking, my drinks and food. I wasn’t surrounded by screaming teeny-boppers which ALSO made it well worth the price of my ticket, et al. And best of all, I saw a GREAT night of amazing dancers. I’d have paid double for that!
Man, I kinda wished I would have gotten tickets now. Looking forward to the pictures.
I’m jealous! I loved that season! Glad you could go. 🙂
