I got here at 8:15 a.m., so theoretically my workday ends in 10 minutes. However, I’m not sure I’m going to be leaving “on time” because Mr. BIL still has things he wants done today.
And you know that whole task list idea I came up with? I can tell I’m gonna end up HATING that list after a while. It’s frustrating to keep ADDING things to the list and yet not have anything come OFF the list.
This morning I had ten things on my list of to do items. I’m at day’s end and I have completed nine items today, but now I have 13 items on my to do list. And the same six past due items are still past due. *sigh* However, I just handed him one of the past due items and he’s reviewing it now. With any luck he’ll come out of his office and say, “This is great – send it and go home!” which will be a double bonus. Of course, he could always come out and say, “Let’s do this on Monday – let’s get this other thing out tonight. I’m going to go dictate a letter,” which is his unintentional code for “we’re gonna be here a while don’t plan on going anywhere soon.”
