So I found out that a co-worker picked Giacomo in the Kentucky Derby. How awesome is that? She put down $20 and won about $1000 for her pick. That’s outstanding. She said she put down six bets total, on various horses (so I think her total betting came to $120). We’re all suitably shocked.
And we’ve all decided to raid her office in a few weeks when Preakness comes up on May 21 and copy her bets. I’m not brave enough to bet $20 on a single horse, but I might be brave enough to spread $21 over three horses…
