I finally remembered to bring in CootieGirl’s ponytail to send it off to Locks of Love today. Every day since Friday I’ve remembered too late that I needed to mail it off. But last night as soon as I got home from work I grabbed the plastic bag and put it in my purse.
Her hair was a bit messy this morning, so I took a brush to it, and she had two tangles – actually, it looked like playdough had dried in her hair. So it hurt her a bit as I ran the brush through. She wailed, “You told me it wouldn’t hurt anymore after I cut it!” I stifled a laugh and said, “But getting playdough in your hair doesn’t count, CootieGirl.” Fortunately, it was relatively easy to get out, and she was able to go back to playing.
Both kids were up and ready to play early this morning. CootieBoy crawled in our bed around 5:30 a.m. and laid with us until the alarm went off. Once that alarm went off, he was awake and chatty. Then CootieGirl came in soon after and crawled in the bed and the two of them proceeded to begin playing as though it was noon, not 7 a.m.
“What time is it?” I groaned, refusing to open my eyes to see what time it was.
“7:00 a.m.” said Denis, already dressed and ready to leave for work.
The kids jumped out of bed, ran and got their train puzzle and began putting it together on our bedroom floor. So annoying, since I don’t get up until closer to 7:30 a.m.!! What made me get up was hearing a whole bucket of toys get dumped out on CB’s floor. I quickly got out of bed and ran to his room telling them to put everything away and that NO MESSES were going to be made this morning. They quickly put everything back and came back in to continue doing the puzzle while I hopped in the shower.
Just so you know, Cootieboy and I quickly got the mess cleaned up. He is good about cleaning up. They told me that at school about him too.
