Remember The Part Where I Said I’d Go To Bed Early?

Please note the time is 2:07 a.m. So much for going to bed at 9 p.m.

After the kids went to bed tonight, Denis and I decluttered the main floor of the house in advance of the housecleaners coming tomorrow. Then I got to work on a fleece blanket that I need to get done because Jen is taking it home with her this weekend. I have a deep cut on my thumb, which made it slow going and I didn’t finish it until 11:30 p.m.

But then I had to start wrapping gifts because we have company staying in the “gift wrap room” tomorrow and then Jen/Beau come on Friday, so tonight was the only opportunity I had to wrap up all of the presents for my side of the family (and I’m really not done because not everything has arrived yet). I just wrapped up the last gift a few minutes ago.

In other news, we got our brand new vacuum today. WOO HOOO!!! It’s a bagless Kenmore upright and I’m sure it’ll be a vast improvement over the Hoover that we have now that has hardly any suction anymore.

So I’m going to bed now. The good news? Tomorrow night Denis, Ed, Ted & Anne are going to hang out in Charlotte. So chances are high I’ll go to bed early TOMORROW, provided I can wrap any gifts that come in the mail tomorrow.

I had to work on jewelry stuff last night – got 3 packages in the mail this morning (special order, repair/order, and a new order from yesterday) – so that I can sort and wrap presents tonight. The pile in our guest room is out of control!

Annie goes to the vet in the morning and as soon as Beau gets home from class tomorrow we wil hit the road.

Question, I have little stocking stuffers for the kids, but then I had the thought that I could save them for the R-family gathering. Your opinion?

    Thanks for the help. =)

I know they’ll get things at the gathering, but I bought the same item for CG and the baby cousin and I thought it would be fun for them both to have them. I’ll save them, I think.

Don’t you just hate those thumb cuts?! I can empathize as I get one every year, too. Am using the Nexcare Skin Crack Care which comes in a bottle like nail polish. Works pretty well. I top it with a small, round bandaid during the day and let it breathe at night.
