On Tuesday they announced the six preliminary plans for rebuilding in the spot where the World Trade towers were. The site allows viewers to see the different concepts for rebuilding in that area. For strictly bird’s eye view, I like the “Memorial Plaza”, but for the skyline view I much prefer “Memorial Park” – it’ll be interesting over the next couple of years to hear the diverse opinions on the plans and also to see the morph from these originals to what eventually stands in the open spot.

I can’t remember the names, but if I remember correctly, I like #6. There are a couple that have twin towers…I think they should go with one of those rather than one taller than the rest. IMHO =)
I agree with Jen. There should be two twin towers. Not as tall as the last two, of course. I liked #5 (Memorial Park) and #6 (Memorial Promenade).
I’m one of those who actually thinks they should rebuild the tall towers, but stronger. I miss them in the skyline. But I can understand not wanting new targets out there.
I agree with you again. I think they should rebuild two tall towers again, but they will definitely be a target, and there’s nothing you can do to stop that, only minimize the risk.
Saw them yesterday all over the news sites. A little underwhelmed, to be honest.
Here’s a thread on Plastic that I found an interesting read:

As long as they don’t build on the footprints of the original towers and the memorial is a huge part of the plan I don’t care what the buildings look like…the memorial is what is important.
