CootieGirl and CootieBoy are still really doing well with their letters. CG sat down a couple nights ago, drew some lines on a sheet of paper, and proceeded to start writing down all the letters. She did A-J and then got stuck on how to best write down “K.” She got frustrated and threw the crayon down on the table. She let me show her how to do it and she continued on, but at that point wanted me to call out the letters to write down, as opposed to figuring out what came next. Either way, she’s really doing great and can now spell out her own name pretty quickly without stopping to think about it.
CB definitely knows his letters, and his favorite book is the Dr. Seuss ABC book. Next step for both of them is to stop watching the letters DVD altogether and only watch the first Word Caper DVD. But they just love the letters DVD, so I know that’ll be hard to tear them away from.
