This past Saturday I Tivo’d “Saturday Night Live” and found the Halftime Pep Song skit to be hilarious, mainly because it involved funny music, bad dancing, and castmembers trying not to laugh. That’s comedy gold. And I became obsessed with finding out the song used in the skit, a hackneyed 1960s/70s song that was perfect in it’s cheesiness.
Well, thanks to the Internets (or more specifically, Whatevs.org’s review of the SNL episode, I have found out that the song is most likely Burt Bacharach’s theme to the 1967 movie “Casino Royale.” YAY!
And yes, that song will soon be making an appearance on my MP3 player.
