On Why I Love My Job, Reason #42345

On Thursday I sent a six “to do” list to Mr. BIL of things that we needed to get done by Friday. Needless to say we only did half of two items. So Friday evening I sent the following email:

Subject: RE: TO DO FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9

Okay, we HAVE to do [name removed] and [name removed] on Monday. And if possible, [name] and [name].

We’ve made headway on bills and invoices.

This morning I came into the office and upon opening my email, I found this in my inbox:

Jaynee:

If you would improve on the attitude a little bit, I might become more cooperative. You Northerners are all sooo pushy.

Down South, we put it: “Mr. BIL, if you could be so kind as to assist me in getting these items off my to do list this coming Monday, I would be most appreciative of your efforts. I certainly appreciate the splendid work you did this week, despite your being out on a frolic the first part of the week.”

Mr. BIL
