CootieGirl’s first-ever summer vacation is ending today. She has due home around 7 p.m. this evening, give or take. I’m sure she’ll have lots of good stories to tell. She and Marmie kept a “vacation journal” over the past two weeks so she’ll always have that as a fond memory, I’m sure.
We’ve definitely missed her. CootieBoy is all hard edges and rough-housing (which is great, don’t get me wrong), whereas CootieGirl is sweet songs and hugs. Two totally different children in every single way.
This morning when I told CootieBoy that CootieGirl was coming home today, he just grunted at me. Part of that could have been that he didn’t want to wake up, though. I’m sure he missed her. Right?
There are not a lot of times my girls are separated these days but they always miss each other. I’m sure CootieBoy mises CootieGirl and will be really excited to see her.
