CootieGirl’s First Play

Her first concert was Simon & Garfunkel.
Her first play will be The Lion King.

Today the advanced tickets went on sale for the show, which will be in Charlotte this summer. I’ve been waiting for the tickets to go on sale to the public (that date is February 23), but since I’m on their email list I actually got the chance to get some advanced tickets.

And I was shocked when I went online to find that I had my pick of shows, times and seats. I did about a dozen searches and MOST of them came up with first few rows of Center Orchestra. That would have been unheard of in NoNJ – by being an hour late to the ticket purchase, I would have missed out on ALL the good seats. If CootieGirl were a bit older I would have gotten those in a heartbeat. But Denis didn’t want me to pay $125 per ticket for a four-year-old that may not be into it, so we went with the next price series, which was $75 per ticket. And we got the choicest seats – Center Orchestra, Row K – DEAD CENTER. For “I have to go potty” reasons this may not be the wisest choice, but for pure enjoyment of the show? It’s top notch. It’ll be a girl’s day out – Denis and CootieBoy will be staying at home.

I just hope CootieGirl likes it.
