Obligatory Movie Post, Coming Right Up!

Have I mentioned that I love Netflix for the Wii? This is an free add-on service with Netflix wherein you can link up your Wii to your Netflix account and have access to movies from your account 24 hours a day. In a phrase: IT ROCKS.

But I haven’t posted in a long time about the movies I’ve seen on Netflix. They are MANY, thanks to Netflix and Netflix Wii! Here are just some of them:

  • District 9
  • The Invention of Lying
  • Adventureland
  • Whip It
  • Everything Is Illuminated
  • Inglourious Basterds
  • Watchmen
  • X-Men Origins: Wolverine
  • Blood Work
  • Zombieland
  • Terminator: Salvation
  • Reservation Road
  • Duplicity
  • Extract
  • (500) Days of Summer
  • Bobby Jones, Stroke of Genius
  • The Shop Around the Corner
  • Seven Pounds
  • Night at the Museum 2
  • The Taking of Pelham 123
  • Last Chance Harvey
  • A couple of them were disappointing (Extract, The Invention of Lying) but others were really enjoyable (District 9, Adventureland, Zombieland, and (500) Days of Summer). As I said, this is only a fraction of the movies I’ve watched over the last few months – my instant viewing from the Wii has been exponential.

The Netflix Wii is also great for the kids. They are savvy enough to know how to navigate the menu to the kids section and can watch kid movies at the drop of a hat. No more DVDs left randomly around the TV room as they pick, change their mind, pick again, change mind again, and pick again the movie they want to watch.

If you have a Wii and don’t have Netflix, now’s the time to join. It’s cheap and they’ll send you the disk for the Wii if you let them know you need one. If you have Netflix and DON’T have internet-ready equipment, then consider the addition.

That’s my product plug – and I’m not even gettin’ paid for it!

Thanks for the reminder about the PS3/Wii. We quit our Blockbuster 2 months ago and I want to see how much I use the instant streaming with Netflix.

Still don’t see how you have the time for that much viewing. LOL.
