It’s a comedy of errors around here.
Receptionist rings up at 10:20 a.m., announcing a client for Mr. BIL. Mr. BIL is STANDING HERE when he sees the call come in and says, “That’s for me,” acknowledging (at least, in my understanding) that his client is here. He has me get the client folder, and proceeds to go into another attorney’s office for a minute. He comes out and asks for another folder, which I don’t have. I say, “Do you want me to go to central and get it and bring it to you downstairs?”
“No, right here.”
I find the folder and bring it to him. He laments that the other clients he’s waiting for aren’t here yet, and he has another meeting that starts at 11:30 a.m.
At 10:29 a.m. the receptionist emails me (while Mr. BIL is again standing at my desk) with the question: “Is he coming down?” I read it to Mr. BIL and he freaks out.
“What does she mean am I coming down?”
“To meet with your client. He’s downstairs.”
“When did he get here?”
“Ten minutes ago. You were standing here when she called to tell me he was here.”
He grabs his folders and goes running down to meet the client, grumbling about not being told that the client was here.
I’d cry if I didn’t find it all very comical sometimes.
There are some good prescription drugs out there that treat Attention Deficit Disorder.
