So Mr. Russell just came over and said, “We’re moving our meeting to take place in The Prez’s office since he’s out of town. Can you call all the participants and let them know?”
“Sure,” I said, picking up the phone. Left VM for one participant. Decide to run around to the other participant offices since they are all in my area. Told one participant that the meeting has been moved and he said, “Oh, Mr. Russell just stopped by a few minutes ago and told me, but also said I didn’t need to sit in on the meeting because I’m going to lunch with them.”
NOTHING chaps my hide more than being asked to do something when the Boss has already done something about it. My boss at my old job did that all the time and it was uber-annoying. I was hoping that my new bosses wouldn’t share that same inclination, but apparently they do.
