No work yet – four of the freelance proposals I submitted yesterday have finished their bidding time. Three of those jobs have been given to other bidders. The fourth job received 86 bids, so he’s got a lot to sift through before making a decision. My bid is VERY strong, so I hope that he chooses me. It’s half a day’s work, but every little bit helps.
I have five other bids that are still open and accepting offers, so we’ll see what happens.
The kids were housebound today because it was raining in our neck of the woods. There was SUPPOSED to be a spring festival and parade but they got cancelled due to the inclement weather. However, Denis and I each got a break – he went out to run a couple errands and I went grocery shopping by myself.
Speaking of grocery shopping – I only had THREE coupons to use today because none of the items on my list were coupon items. I still managed to save $15 between the coupons and sale items, but I paid $65. Very frustrating when I’m so used to saving 50-60% each time I shop!!
Anyway, so the kids were running around acting all crazy so we put in Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back for them to watch (this was in lieu of having to hear them fight while playing Lego Star Wars on the Wii). They are so funny about Star Wars – they make up character names. “There’s 3PO!” one will shout, and the other says, “Hey – and behind him is 4PO!” Heh. And all short roundheaded droids are R2D2, but they just have different colors. “Look – there’s a red R2 that looks like a trash can!” Tomorrow we’ll finish out the trilogy – and in 4-5 years will finish the saga with the other three movies (they are a bit more mature for them right now).
And with that, I’m off to watch “Pineapple Express,” which we got from Netflix today. WOO HOO!!
As a UK-based LEGO Star Wars fan, I found your blog on google and read a few of your other Star Wars posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
