I did it a couple nights ago. I didn’t want to, but something made me do it. Maybe because it was free for 14 days, or maybe because I wanted to see for myself instead of reading about it.
I subscribed to the Big Brother: All Stars live feed.
Are you shocked? You shouldn’t be – everyone who knows me well knows I worship that show and have been an avid fan since Season One. Since Real.com was offer a free 14-day pass I figured now was as good a time as any to sign up for it because once the cast gets down to around 5-6 people it is BORING in that house – no one talks, no one does ANYTHING except for when the producers ask them to (competitions, ceremonies, etc.). Last night I sat for two hours and watched Evil Dr. Will lambast and insult the internet feeders for wasting their time watching the live feed. It cracked me up to no end. He basically said that so many people watch BB and think “I should be on that show!” but it’s the same people that sit at their computer and go to live recap websites and spend hours upon hours reading about the exploits of the houseguests. He said that all those folks are too boring to ever be on the show. And he’s right. As much as I’d like to THINK I’d be great for that show (good personality, gets along with others, loves the strategy behind the game, would love to win the $500K) I also know I’m not 24 years old, a size 2 and buxom.
During those two hours the houseguests also convened in the kitchen and started swapping stories from their seasons. This was a LOT of fun to see them reminiscing about their previous experiences – especially Dr. Will and Boogie. They tell great stories, I’ll give ’em that. At one point earlier in the feed Kaysar, Janelle and James were also reminiscing, although not with everyone else around. James was talking about his experience at the sequester house and how the Nerd Herd were treated abominably not only by the other houseguests but by the production crew as well. James said the best parts of the roundtable discussion were not even shown – apparently the Sov Six ganged up on the Nerd Herd and just let loose in drunken tirades (James and Janelle confirmed they were drunk about 90% of the time they spent in the sequester house just out of sheer boredom).
Anyway, I have 12 more days of free live feeds and I plan to enjoy every minute of it that I get to watch.
