Nerd Alert

Am I total nerd for contemplating the idea of going to see the Tuesday midnight showing of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers at my local multiplex?

So am I a nerd for watching FOTR twice over the weekend?

I’m so jealous that you’re going tonight…make sure you post a review tomorrow.

I too have been thinking about it after having watched the LOTR: FOTR Extended DVD edition this weekend. Therefore, like me, it makes you a total nerd.

But take some solace in that you’re not an utter and complete one. Unless you took a course in Elvish to forgo the subtitles this time around. In which case I would have to cast a suspicious eye on you…

Phern, I did not go that far. Phew! I’m not a total nerd! I’ve also elected NOT to go at midnight – I realized last night that if I were to go to a midnight screening I wouldn’t be home until after 3 a.m., and then up for work by 6:30 a.m. – I’d be completely nonfunctional. Alas, I’ll wait and see it another day.

Phern, here’s the real reason Jaynee isn’t going at midnight.

Jaynee and I in bed last night.

Jaynee: “So, are we definitely going to the midnight showing tomorrow?”

Me: “Midnight? I thought it ended at midnight. I don’t think so.”

Jaynee: “Okay, I guess you’re right.”

Jane, don’t you wanted to see it at the Ziegfield (or feld, the biggest theater in NYC?) instead of waiting in line the first day?

Next wednesday the movie will be released here in Utrecht, but I rather wait till the biggest crowd is gone, cuz this is the perfect Christmas-holiday movie.

Hope I will be able to refuse the temptation of reading your review *lol*

The movie opens in Denver tomorrow on the big, big, big movie screen at noon. My brother bought his tickets weeks ago, and he is not a nerd by any stretch of the imagination. Trust me, you are not nerding out. But if you go in costume, then you deserve whatever amount of DOTS and Junior Mints are thrown your way.
